The book is overly complicated and repetitive. The structure of the units presumes student knowledge at the start of the unit which is then covered several pages later. Some chapters are repeated e.g. pg 76-77 repeat page 70-71. Content ranges from year 8 (prayer postures) level to degree level (St Augustine and Catherine LaCugna's theology of the Trinity). Passages from church teaching are excessive and not explained compared to other texts.Practice questions do not follow the structure used in examinations. The Catholic Christianity section and themes sections are presented at a higher level than the Islam/Judaism units. Nothing to engage students in the topic - mostly text and classical illustrations.
